I love coming back for this event, its always such a good time to come back to the scene that first got me my start.  Being able to catch up with so many friends and family and people that have supported my career is really awesome.

As usual the Pairere area turned it on and there were perfect conditions all week.

Finals day was upon us and I felt really good and confident that I’d take home another win, but as fate would have it that wouldn’t be the case.  A couple of mistakes in my run put me into a 2^nd place finish.  It’s so crazy just how quickly things can change in a contest.  All good, Nic Gibson took 1st place.
